Subscriptions
Recurring billing with templates and SEPA.
Creating a subscription
- Customer
- Name & description
- Billing interval — Days, weeks, months, quarters or years.
- Start date
- Line items — Products or free text lines, optionally with a per-line timeframe (e.g. 'month of April').
Subscription templates
A template is a reusable set of lines (a 'package') for subscriptions. Create templates under Products > Packages and use them to spin up a new subscription in seconds — all lines are filled in automatically.
Billing-cycle timeline
On the subscription detail you see an animated timeline: previous invoice, current period, pre-notification (with SEPA), debit and next invoice. Handy for both you and the customer in the portal.
Payment modes
| Mode | How it works |
|---|---|
| Manual | Invoice with payment link (default 30 days). |
| SEPA DD | Direct debit. First payment via iDEAL creates the mandate. After that automatic. |
| Card recurring | Similar to SEPA, via credit card. |
SEPA: pre-notification & debit
PayDock automatically sends a pre-notification 14 days before the debit (legal requirement) and debits on the due date. Failed debits are flagged, logged and retried.
Portal management
In the customer portal the customer can pause, resume, cancel subscriptions or change payment method themselves. Changes are processed immediately.
